  • Descrizione: this chapter shows how the various frameworks and ideas can be converted into paths for self‐improvement. these are to do with identity, reading other people and developing contexts that bring out the best in the human spirit. leaders can get very comfortable with the wonderful, reliable and supportive people they have worked hard to keep close by them. but the real test of leadership is dealing with the assholes. the leader is a culture‐carrier. that means working at three levels simultaneously: first, at the level of one as a leader, what one say and does; second, at the level of systems and structures; and third, the implicit message one sends to the people who drive the organization along. all three levels can be managed and directed.
